ABIX is compatible with any Windows operating system, from Win 95 to Win 7. Its small setup kit can be downloaded fast and the installation process will take a few moments. The modest system requirements allow you to run the application even if your hardware is obsolete.

The software's interface is very easy to understand and it makes information management a straightforward job. Depending on what type of information you wish to insert, you just need to click one of the buttons located on the toolbar, fill in a series of text boxes and click an OK button. Each module will display a different window, within the central area of the interface.

In some cases, like organizing anniversaries, passwords or other items, you have to click an Add button, before typing the information. When managing contacts, inventory items or compiling a tasks list, you can start typing right away and click a button to add the information to your database.

Every piece of information is stored in the same database, which can be locked with a password. Security is not the only feature you will appreciate. ABIX lets you back up your database and restore it in case you damage the original. What's more, the software is capable of repairing broken data files. Additionally, you can use the same feature to compact your database, in case it takes up too much space and you can't fit it on a removable drive or attach it to an email.
